Articulated Forms
Articulated (to express an idea fluently and coherently and to be connected by joints) forms (a particular way in which a thing/idea exists or appears) explores the materiality of space and the social influence of built environment.Peering inside the physical and non-physical structures that condition our lives, each artist partakes in a shared conversation between themselves and the viewer. Picking apart the meaning of materiality, the constructed understanding of space and non-space, articulated forms present a vast solar system of ideas, thoughts and considerations, some finished, some in progress – all in motion. These ideas come to fruition and unfurl within the space through mixed media and performance, carving out a small place for loosening our understandings of the world and playing in the inbetweens.
Articulated forms is a collaborative exhibition by Rachael Melvin, Emma Quin, Emma Stewart and Anna Shankie.
